Welcome to our virtual school office

Our website offers the option of downloading forms, newsletters and information however you may prefer to call in to the school office where Mrs Unsworth, Mrs Hannah  and Mrs Taylor will be happy to help you with any questions you may have.

Notification of Absence

A short note giving the reason for each absence is required for our records.

From September 2013 Parents are no longer entitled to two weeks absence per year.  We hope that parents will do their utmost to avoid undue absences as this can seriously affect educational progression. This is particularly important when your child enters Year 6 when they will undergo Statutory Assessment Tests.

We would encourage parents to ensure the children are in time for school. Children should be in the yard by 8.50 am, when a whistle is blown to signal children should line up ready to go into school.  Children who arrive late will have to bring their children to Reception where they will be asked to sign their children giving a reason for lateness.  Parents of unaccompanied children who arrive late will sent a text requesting they come into the office to sign the late book.  We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

 Dinner Money

Please send all monies in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name and class on Monday morning.  School meals currently cost £9.50.  We also have a pre-payment system whereby you can pay in advance for a whole term/half term period. You may also pay online or by cheque made payable to Diamond Hall Junior School.  Please follow the link below to pay online and choose Diamond Hall Junior School from the list.

Pay Dinner Money Online

We do not allow arrears to build up in respect of lunch payments.  Governors have stated that the school can no longer allow a debt of more than 1 week’s payment.  If the money is not paid by the end of the week you will be asked to provide your child with a packed lunch or to take your child home for lunch. We therefore appreciate prompt payment on a Monday.

Free Meals

Children of parents who receive Income Support or Income based Job Seeker's Allowance are entitled to free school meals. We strongly advise parents to register even if their children do not choose to take school meals as this affects how school is funded and it may .   Forms may be downloaded from the Forms section.

Parents with cars

The safety of our children, parents and visitors to our school is of paramount importance. Please may we remind you all not to bring cars into the car park at any time during the school day as this causes a real hazard to pedestrians. This also includes After School Clubs.

Pedestrian Access

Parents are reminded to use the pedestrian access situated on Well Street. This should be used at all times to get to reception, including After School Clubs.
